Mark has been a professional dog walker for almost eight years, providing love and care for more than 60 dogs and gaining a five-star reputation around his home city of Peterborough.
Prior to setting up his dog walking business, Mark had a 22-year-long career with the John Lewis Partnership. The first part of his time at John Lewis was as a retail manager. Fancying a complete change, Mark applied for and secured the role of Editor of the staff magazine 'The Chronicle.' Wanting to be the best in everything he puts his mind to, Mark was named Journalist of the Year for two years running.

Tony is a mathematics teacher, and has been a senior leader in secondary schools for over 16 years of his 25-year career, culminating in headship for the last two years. Tony led his last school to a secure Ofsted judgement of 'Good' in all areas. Seeking a change in pace, Tony is now happy as a regular mathematics teacher, with the work-life balance that allows him to enjoy travelling and the great outdoors.
Tony has been around animals all his life, growing up with seven cats, two dogs and a hamster to having a cat and chickens recently.

About us
We have been a couple for more than 25 years, living together for almost all of that time and becoming civil partners in 2013. We became owners of a 1930's semi detached house in 2007 and are well versed in property maintenance.
Max, Tony's mum's stubborn but loveable cat came to live with us for his final years. Missing animal company, a couple of years later we became the proud parents to Patsy, Edina and Bubble, a little flock of chickens. We both love animals of all kinds, though don't now have any of our own due to our other big passion - traveling.
We bought Cleopatra our camper van 10 years ago and have racked up close to 150,000 miles exploring the UK and mainland Europe.
We love being outdoors, whether enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or out and about exploring the French countryside on foot or by bike. We enjoy the beaches of west coast of France, mountain gorges of Corsica or the snowy alps.
We both enjoy playing boardgames together or with friends. Ticket to Ride is one of our favourite games, while Mark loves to play Carcassonne online against players from all around the world.
We like to spend our indoor evenings watching TV together. We enjoy home renovation shows, A Place in the Sun, and we're trying our hardest to get through 17 seasons of Australian MasterChef.
We really want you to get to know us and we think the best way for you to do that is by sharing our social media channels with you.

We have decided to offer house and pet sitting to combine our love of travel with our love of animals. We hope it will provide an inexpensive way for us to see more of the UK when we retire and, in advance of that, during selected school holiday periods. Please note that we do not cover Peterborough or the surrounding areas.

Free (and preferably off-road) parking must be available. If not, the cost of parking must be born by the client.
25% deposit required to secure booking. Remainder due no later than one week before commencement of house/ pet sit. Online card payments are securely processed by Square.

Mark is an absolute star with my rescue Lab, Taff, who unfortunately has no social manners whatsoever! Taff knows what days he is due to go out with Mark and starts crying early in the morning until he can go out. He always comes back well walked, generally muddy and extremely happy, Taff is usually quite tired too.... Mark is extremely friendly and reliable, nothing is too much trouble. We highly recommend him!

Mark is an absolutely brilliant dog walker. My Labrador Gill really loves him and watches out of the window for his arrival, she just gets so excited. There aren't many people I would trust to walk my dog but Mark is utterly dependable and I can track Gill all the way round on her walk and I can tell she is always so happy and loves her adventures. I recommend Mark 100%

I'm so glad I found Mark. The difference in my dog is noticeable. I had doubts about whether my previous walker was giving her the full walk I paid for or even turning up at all. I considered getting a pet tracker and security cameras to check but then I thought, if I've even got a tiny doubt why am I letting this person near my dog or have a key to my house? The day Mark began walking her I couldn't believe the difference in either my dog or myself. I knew she'd had an hour's walk because of the map Mark sent and the fact she wasn't the bundle of pent up energy I'd got used to coming home to. It's been the same ever since. Not only do I have a happier dog but I'm more productive at work because I know I've no need to worry any more. Mark's polite, conscientious, punctual, trustworthy and professional. He takes the loveliest photos - I've even had two of them framed. So Mark I can't thank or praise you enough -here's another five star review, only because it won't let me give any more

Mark has been a god send walking my 5 year old spaniel, Archie. His walks are always sent to me on his gps tracker so we can see where they've been, together with cute little pit stop photos along the way. Archie always looks forward to his walks. Mark is professional, trustworthy and friendly. He clearly loves what he does, providing a 5 star (or 5 paw) service.

Mark was fabulous with my wilful, some might say stubborn, bulldog Kimba. He was patient, attentive and really good fun with her. He kept us completely up to date from confirming the booking and letting us know how she got on, even sent a picture! Couldn't recommend this dog sitter enough

Mark is a very polite and pleasant person and we felt confident in letting him walk Dylan (our Golden Retriever). The on-walk feed back app, though we didn't use it, is an excellent idea. Would recommend him.
